Frangipani trees and the swimming pool at Doubleyou Homestay Pemuteran

About

Our Story

A family, a garden, and a quiet village on Bali's north-west coast.

Doubleyou Homestay grew slowly, the way things do in Pemuteran. A few rooms around a garden, a pool where guests end up talking to each other in the late afternoon, and a family that has been welcoming travellers here for more than ten years.

We are not a resort and we don't try to be one. What we offer is simple and honest: comfortable bungalow-style rooms, cold water when you come back from the reef, help arranging a boat to Menjangan Island, and someone who actually remembers your name.

Most of our guests come for the sea — the coral gardens of Menjangan Island are among the best in Bali. Many of them stay longer than they planned.

Hospitality

More Than a Place to Stay

Breakfast happens on the terrace. The garden is full of frangipani and mango trees. The pool is small enough that it never feels crowded and warm enough that nobody hesitates before getting in.

Nine rooms means we can look after each guest personally — from booking a dive to calling a driver for the ferry at Gilimanuk.

Pemuteran

Experience Pemuteran Like a Local

Pemuteran is a working village, not a strip of nightclubs. Fishermen head out before sunrise, temple ceremonies fill the road with white and gold, and the Bio-Rock coral restoration project sits just off the beach.

Walk to the warungs for dinner, cycle to the beach in the morning, hike up the hill behind the village for the view. We'll point you in the right direction.
